One of the most important steps is making sure gas appliances are checked each year. We provide a free gas safety check every 12 months in all the homes we manage.
Our trusted gas safety partners carry out these checks. They’re registered with the Gas Safe Register, the official list of businesses approved to work safely and legally on gas appliances.
When your check is due, they’ll send you a letter and contact you to arrange an appointment.
This helps us keep your home safe and meet our legal responsibilities.
Why gas safety checks matter
Your yearly gas safety check helps make sure your gas appliances are working properly. It can also spot issues early, before they become more serious.
Faulty gas appliances can produce carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that you can’t see, taste or smell.
It’s important to know the warning signs. Symptoms can include headaches, nausea, breathlessness, dizziness, collapse or loss of consciousness. If you’re worried about carbon monoxide, get fresh air straight away and seek medical help.
How you’ll know when your check is due
If you live in a home we manage, you’ll receive a letter from one of our gas safety partners when your check is due. TSG Building Services or Sureserve Compliance South will contact you directly to book your appointment.
Please respond quickly and allow access. If the appointment time doesn’t work for you, contact our gas safety partner as soon as possible so they can rearrange it.
